Executive Director - Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE)  

 Colorado Animal Rescue is the largest animal welfare organization in the Roaring Fork Valley, assisting more than 1,000 homeless cats, dogs, and exotics each year.  Not only are we here to assist the area’s animals, we also help the community have a better relationship with their companion animals.  We offer a variety of programs that includes: public spay/neuter assistance, micro-chipping, low cost vaccine clinics, pet food bank, canine and feline behavior counseling, canine training classes, and education programs.

 The Executive Director will provide vision and motivation to the team members through strategic planning as well as collaborate with animal welfare partners in the community.  We seek someone with a strong non-profit background, including a focus on donor relations and fundraising. The Executive Director will oversee and manage the daily operation with specific responsibilities that include: developing and implementing programs, fundraising, grant writing, staff management and development, strategic planning, budgeting, following best practices in shelter operations, and ensuring positive communication within the organization as well as with external partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to bring staff, volunteers, and community leaders together to achieve a common goal.

Veterinary Technician

Colorado Animal Rescue is looking to add a new member to lead our medical care team!  The job entails over-seeing CARE's animal population by providing basic wellness exams and vaccinations on intake, administering daily medication, the daily monitoring of animals, creating exam and surgery lists to carry out with our shelter Veterinarian weekly, and provide accurate and current record keeping.  This is a high level position that requires the ability to self manage, delegate tasks, and must possess stellar communication and organizational skills.  Apply in person or send resumes to care@rof.net.
