To the great fortune of our companion animals, dog care and training have evolved considerably over the past 15 years. We are lucky at Colorado Animal Rescue to follow in the footsteps of other progressive shelters and animal welfare agencies by implementing some of the newest and most efficient training methods for all of our adoptable dogs, as well as offering classes and information for the dog owning public.
Dog Trainer Tracey Yajko began as a kennel technician and behavior consultant 8 years ago. She currently manages all of the training and behavior programs at C.A.R.E.. Tracey graduated from the prestigious San Francisco SPCA's Academy for Dog Trainers. After receiving her certification in dog training and behavior counseling, Tracey continues to develop programs for C.A.R.E.'s adoptable dogs. She has also put together a set of training classes for the public.
Currently C.A.R.E. offers a Dog Manners Class, a Puppy Socialization Class, an informative, Bully Breed Specific Class and some "Pre-Agility" training for the many dogs in our valley. These classes are held at C.A.R.E.'s newly renovated training space at the shelter in Spring Valley. The cost is considerably lower than other classes available in the valley and that money goes directly to help our homeless animal population.
