CARE Microchipping Program

Microchipping a Cat

On November 1, 2002 Colorado Animal Rescue began its microchipping program, implanting micro-chips in adopted dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.

Since 2002 CARE has strived to micro-chip 100% of the adoptable animals, and to date our success rate has been very close to that goal. CARE also maintains the micro-chip registration for each animal, at no cost to the adopter.

In addition to microchipping adoptable animals, CARE also provides these services to the general public. Companion animals can be micro-chipped at the shelter, for a minimal cost per animal. This includes assistance with registration of the micro-chip and updates as requested.

To have your pet micro-chipped, please call CARE at (970) 947-9173 to schedule an appointment. For more information, please visit our micro-chip facts page.
