Medical Concerns and Emergencies
Most medical concerns can be managed by C.A.R.E. medical staff, especially when caught early through your monitoring of the animal/s. You must contact a staff member before bringing the animal/s to a Veterinarian. C.A.R.E. is not liable for unapproved vet visit costs.
For all medical concerns and questions:
- Sundays through Thursday mornings, call the shelter during regular business hours @ 970-947-9173 and speak with Kaylee, our shelter CVT.
- Thursday afternoons through Saturday, call the shelter and ask for Sam or Lisa.
- When emailing regarding health concerns, please attach copies of your Daily Health Monitor Sheets, as well as photos of abnormal stool, urine, vomit, ocular/nasal discharge, etc.
