You can choose 1-2 shifts per week. Upon completion of our online volunteer orientation, we will email you a link on a weekly basis to sign up for shifts.
CAT ENRICHMENT AND TLC:
Help give cats the enrichment they need during their time at the shelter. Help brush, provide prey play, puzzle treats, and more. Ensure that the cats in our care are receiving not only the social interaction they need, but also mental stimulation so they can thrive until they find their forever home!

Have you ever wanted to care for a pet, but weren’t able to permanently? C.A.R.E. has just the opportunity for you! Take a dog, cat, or a litter home with you to give them a vacation from the shelter. C.A.R.E. supplies everything you need (toys, bowls, food, etc.), you just supply the love.
Please fill out our foster care survey and our Programs Director, Keira Clark, will get back to you with more details.
We hold adopt-a-thons, fundraisers, and community assistance and outreach events all throughout the year and we always need help! You can also help transport animals, post fliers, and assist with sponsorship requests.
When: Upon completion of our online volunteer orientation, we will email you when we have upcoming events, and sign up as you have time.
Colorado Animal Rescue is always in need of volunteers to help transport animals from partner shelters as part of our shelter transfer program, pick up donations, and more! Depending on the nature of the transport, you can use one of our shelter vans, or your own vehicle (if you use your own vehicle we can reimburse you for gas).
When: Transport is needed intermittently. If you choose to sign up for transport opportunities, our Programs Director will contact you as the need arises.
