Lovable Locals are animals (dogs, cats, rabbits!) who arrived at our shelter as a local stray or from a resident who could no longer keep their pet.  While we often hear of pets looking for homes from other underserved areas or large cities, there are many homeless pets who are displaced from our own neighborhoods and communities. C.A.R.E. has over 30 of these local pets searching for a forever home! 

We—re hoping that our valley will come together to care for these community pets by spreading the word or adopting a

Loveable Local for $25 during the month of November.

Why adopt a local pet?

-change the life of an animal who may have been a neighbor 

-reduce their length of stay in the shelter

-contribute to local community health

-avoid overcrowding in our own community shelters
