Leave a Legacy of Compassion
For more than 25 years, Colorado Animal Rescue (C.A.R.E.) has connected pets to their people through compassionate care, education, and community support. Planned giving is one meaningful way to ensure this work continues for generations to come.

WHAT IS PLANNED GIVING?
Planned giving, sometimes called legacy giving, allows you to make a future gift to C.A.R.E. through your estate plans. These gifts help sustain lifesaving programs and compassionate care for pets and families throughout our community.
Examples include:
- Bequests in a will or trust
- Retirement accounts
- Life insurance policies
- Beneficiary designations
- Donor-advised funds
- Stocks or appreciated assets
Many supporters choose to leave a percentage of their estate rather than a specific dollar amount, allowing their gift to grow naturally over time while still ensuring loved ones are cared for first.
CREATE A LASTING LEGACY
Creating or updating your will is one of the most meaningful ways to care for the people and causes you love.
To help you get started, C.A.R.E. offers free access to FreeWill, an easy-to-use online tool that can help you create your will or trust in about 20 minutes.
You can use FreeWill to document your wishes, create clarity for the future, and make a lasting impact for animals in our community — all at no cost.

PLAN BENEFICIARY GIFTS
Some assets — including retirement accounts, life insurance policies, and certain financial accounts — are distributed passed directly through beneficiary designations rather than through a will.
With FreeWill’s secure online tool, you can easily designate C.A.R.E. as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets in just a few minutes.
Beneficiary gifts are a simple way to sustain C.A.R.E.’s mission.
C.A.R.E. LEGACY ANGELS
The C.A.R.E. Legacy Angels are a special group of supporters who have chosen to include C.A.R.E. in their estate plans.
Their gifts reflect a shared belief that every pet deserves safety, care, and the chance to find a loving home. Through their generosity, Legacy Angels help ensure that C.A.R.E. can continue connecting pets to their people and serving as a resource for animals and families throughout our community.
Legacy gifts can take many forms, including gifts made through a will or trust, retirement account beneficiary designations, life insurance policies, donor-advised funds, and other planned giving arrangements. Every gift, regardless of size, helps support the ongoing work of C.A.R.E
If you have already included C.A.R.E. in your plans, we would be honored to welcome you as a Legacy Angel. Letting us know about your gift allows us to thank you, recognize your generosity, and ensure your wishes are understood. You may also choose to remain anonymous.
