C.A.R.E.’s Pet Food Bank Celebrates New Accomplishments in 2021

Part of our mission at Colorado Animal Rescue is to help our community’s pets remain in their loving homes and out of the shelter.  This means supporting pet owning families by offering services that support pet care during times of hardship.  This past year, our Pet Food Bank expanded its reach by partnering with Colorado Pet Pantry and LiftUp to provide pet food to families in need.  By attending LiftUp’s drive-through food giveaway events in Parachute, Rifle, New Castle, Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, we were able to connect with pet owners across the valley.  In total, we gave away 6,360 pounds of food!

Many thanks to local partners Tractor Supply, RJ Paddywacks, High Tails Dog & Cat Outfitter, and Target for donating to this program in 2021.

If you, or someone you know, is in need of pet food and could use support, please refer them to our program.  The Pet Food Bank is stocked and ready to help.  970-947-9173
