Sheepdog Finals 2023!

C.A.R.E. is proud to partner with Strang Ranch in Carbondale to host the 2023 National Sheepdog Finals!

Beginning September 26, 2023 and running daily through October 1, 2023, the United States Border Collie Handlers Association (USBCHA) National Sheepdog Finals will take place at Carbondale—s historic Strang Ranch.  In exchange for coordinating and staffing event ticket sales and parking, the event donates all admission proceeds to Colorado Animal Rescue! 

The Sheepdog Finals are open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to bring sunblock, hats, and lawn chairs. Limited grandstand seating is also available. The week—s itinerary includes herding runs with the nation—s top dog/handler teams, plus a vendors— row with food, beer, and merchandise. 

The Finals are an awesome opportunity to see herding dogs in action under the direction of the country’s best handlers.  If you haven—t experienced this competition, it is truly a must-see event and we look forward to seeing the community there!

Strang Ranch is located at 393 County Road 102 in Missouri Heights. Daily tickets include parking and are priced individually at $20/adults, $5/seniors, and $5/kids (aged 8-16) or by car at $40/car with 3+ passengers.  Family-owned pet dogs are not allowed and should be left at home.
