Need Pet Food?

Did you know C.A.R.E. has a community pet food pantry? We have dog and cat food on site at our shelter and also work with LIFT-UP, Food Bank of the Rockies, and Meals on Wheels to get food distributed throughout our community to families in need. Last year, we were able to share over 11,000 pounds of dry food and nearly 2,000 cans of wet food thanks to the support of our shelter partners and community donations!

If you’d like to donate pet food to our pet pantry program, we accept unopened and non-expired bags of dog and cat food (as well as opened and non-expired pet food in its original packaging). Dog coats, collars, leashes, toys, and treats are all welcome too! Donations can be made directly at the shelter.

If you or someone you know is in need of pet food, give us a call – we’re happy to set aside food for your pet right here at the shelter (and check out our March LIFT-UP mobile distributions dates too!).
